Naughty

What can I say? I’m not a nice person. When I walk by, people call me a slut, and I’m okay with that. I believe in calling a spade a spade. I am a slut.

With the holidays approaching, I miss belonging to The Last Riders. Drake’s keeping me warm, but he wants more than I can give. He wants me to trust him, to believe he can protect me. Doesn’t he know Santa put me on the Naughty List long ago?

Nice

What can I say? I’m a nice guy and have always done the responsible thing.

Bliss is everything I shouldn’t want, but it’s hard to resist a woman who stopped believing in miracles. She wants to be back with The Last Riders, whom she considers her true family. Doesn’t she know it’s Christmas, and miracles do happen?

“Who are you going out with?”
Knowing Genny was still determined to try to become BFFs with her, Bliss almost didn’t tell her, but honestly, she couldn’t find a reason not to. It wasn’t like she was going to come home afterward and have a chat-fest about it.
“Drake Hall.”
A concerned look crossed Genny’s face. “Be careful, Bliss.”
Bliss couldn’t help laughing. “I can handle Drake.”
“Don’t be too sure. He has a reputation in town for leaving women when they get too serious about him.”
“Then he’s perfect for me. I have no intention of getting serious.”
Genny shook her head at her. “That’s what all the women say.”
“Well, I mean it.” Bliss watched as Shade stood, blending into the crowd and leaving the auditorium. Jo’s eyes followed after him. “Besides, I can’t give what’s already taken.”
Bliss started past her yet paused when Genny laid a hand on her arm.
“You have an itch any man could scratch without leaving marks. Drake’s not that type of man. Of all the women I heard gossip about regarding him, none have walked away unscathed. He’s always been the one to break it off. Some scratches go away after a few days, and you forget they ever existed, but others fester and spread until they consume you.”
“Are you telling me I should be afraid of him?” Bliss couldn’t believe Genny was giving her advice about men. Didn’t she realize what went on in the clubhouse? What did she know about men, anyway? She was barely nineteen.
Willa had told her Genny had lived with a foster couple until she had turned eighteen. Willa had wanted to help Genny find a home she could call her own. Bliss knew that was why she had asked her if she would be interested in being roommates with Genny.
Bliss had thought they were mismatched but grudgingly had begun to feel a tendril of liking for Genny.
“That’s exactly what I’m telling you. A smart woman would steer clear of him.”
“No one’s ever accused me of being smart,” Bliss said wryly.

"I was born in a small town in Kentucky. My family began poor, but worked their way to owning a restaurant. My mother was one of the best cooks I have ever known, and she instilled in all her children the value of hard work, and education.

Taking after my mother, I've always love to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.

For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children who both graduated this year from college. My daughter does my book covers, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.

Currently I am writing five series of books- The Last Riders, The VIP Room, Predators MC, Biker Bitches, and The Dark Souls.

All my books are written for one purpose- the enjoyment others find in them, and the expectations of my fans that inspire me to give it my best.”

   “Are you o.k.?”
“Yes.” Cara nodded happily.  Jericho nodded before getting up and getting redressed.  When he was done, he bent over and picked up her clothes and handed them to her.
“You might take a hot shower; it will help with the soreness.”  Cara blushed as she raised herself into a sitting position.  Cara frowned as he started gathering dishes and empty bottles.
“I will.” She watched as he carried everything to the kitchen.  She dressed as she heard running water, knowing he was doing the dishes.  Cara was unsure of what to do, having never been in this position before.  When Jericho reentered the room, she was still sitting on the couch waiting for him.  She had royal blood in her veins and she had too much pride in herself to hide herself away in her room.
“I thought you were going to take a shower.”
“I was hoping you might like to take one with me.”  Cara gave him what she hoped was a seductive smile, but having never given one before, she could not be sure.
“No thanks, I have one in my room.  I think I’ll go to bed.  I’ll see you in the morning.”
   “Jericho...”
   “Don’t do this Cara.”
   “Do what?”
“Have a postmortem of what happened.”
“I don’t understand.”  Cara tried not to be hurt at his attitude, but it was really hard when he was staring at her with such cold eyes.
“What’s to understand?  We had sex.  It’s over now, so like all men, I would like to go to sleep.”
   “Alone?”
“Yes, alone.  I don’t share my bed with anyone.”
   “Why?”
“Look Cara, I really don’t want to hurt your feelings, but I didn’t want anything but sex.  Now that the need has been taken care of, I’d like to go to bed.”  Before he could continue on, Cara interrupted him.
“So you got what you wanted; now you’re done with me?”  Desperately, Cara tried to keep the anger out of her voice.

KEEPING WHAT'S HIS
Porter Brothers Trilogy #1
Jamie Begley
Releasing September 29th, 2015
Young Ink Press

The Porter Brother's were raised to live and die by Three Rules

One, a Porter stands his ground
Two, a Porter leaves no enemy standing
Three...

Sutton Creech was a cheat and a liar. Tate Porter had found that out when he was eighteen, and he had no intention of letting her make a fool out of him again. He didn’t care how much pain he saw in her eyes or how old memories tugged at his unforgiving heart until, the night a hidden secret is revealed and everything Tate had believed about their past is shattered, proving he had let the woman he loved get away.

Between trying to protect his family and running their pot growing business, Tate doesn't have time to play the "Nice Guy". He'd just have to remember the most important rule his father had given them: A Porter always keeps what's his.

“How long you staying?”

“I haven’t made up my mind yet,” Sutton answered.

“Your parents must be glad you’ve come home for a visit.”

Sutton remained quiet as she turned back to the door, placing her hand on the door knob. “Thanks again for helping me inside.”

Tate’s brow rose at her abrupt dismissal. Going back through the door, he placed a hand on it before she could close it behind him.

“I wouldn’t stay out here too late. It’s not safe,” he warned.

This time, it was her turn to lift a brow in his direction. “Don’t tell me you’re still growing weed and keeping poachers away.”

Tate’s face flushed angrily. “When did you become a bitch?”

Sutton gave him a mocking smile. “I’m not eighteen anymore.”

His eyes roved over her body insultingly. “No, you’re not. I hope you’re not planning on seeing Cash while you’re in town. He’s married to Rachel now, and I don’t want you causing trouble for my sister.”

“I know, and I have no intention of seeking out Cash.” Sutton lost her smile. Cash wasn’t why she was here.

“Good. They’re happy, and they don’t need you trying to stir up trouble.”

“Since you want to talk straight, I’ll reciprocate. I’ll repeat what I said: I have no intention of seeing Cash. I won’t say it was good seeing you again, Tate, because it wasn’t.” Sutton slammed the door and locked it. She held her breath, listening for sounds from the other side of the door. It was several minutes before she heard him walking away.
