Royal Partnerships Blurb:
It’s good to be the Queen…
Having ascended the throne of Hell, Madison Wescott is finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. Though she has embraced her demonic nature, she has ensured the safety of everyone she loves. With both Micah and Nix at her side, she wields more power than she could have ever imagined.
But not even the throne is safe when you rule in Hell.
In the wake of a failed assassination attempt, Madison learns about a realm of the damned older than Hell itself. A fierce and powerful incubus vows to escape his imprisonment there — and his efforts are weakening the bonds that hold him and countless other monsters at bay. With no plan and nowhere else to turn, Madison contacts an unlikely source for help. But whose side is he really on? Will he help preserve her reign, or bring about Hell’s downfall?

Excerpt
She swung about and headed for the door. A few feet away something smashed into the back of her head, knocking her to her knees. Blackness coiled her vision, narrowing to pinpoints of light. Slamming her palms on the floor, she struggled against the encroaching darkness.
I won’t pass out! Not now when an adversary attacked and two of her protectors were unreachable.
Her Lynx jacked her nervous system and thrust to the forefront, eliminating the intruding blackout.
All stealth evaporated as solid footsteps announced her antagonizer’s advance. Madison tensed, readying her magic, while pretending defeat and waiting for her attacker to present oneself.
“I gave you the prophecy so you could avoid the outcome, you stupid bitch.” A female voice snarled. “Not so you’d follow the divination.”
Black footwear came into view, and Madison followed the attire up. A solid costume of black shrouded the female. No, not clothing…feathers. She tilted her head back to get a good gander of the creature’s face.
Crow.
It’d been five years since she last saw the woman. So much of what the woman prophesized had come true.
Madison’s fingertips tickled with electricity, but she held the power just beneath the surface. She notched her voice low, forcing it to sound breathy, and hoping the woman would think she’d been weakened by the blow to her head. “What outcome would you have had me avoid?”
A blur of movement and Crow struck her jaw. Madison chugged the feathered creature’s magic for a minuscule moment, then the other woman’s touch was gone, and Madison landed flat on her back.
Shit, that hurt!
Taking her down will be glorious. On that she and her succubus agreed. One touch at a time and she’d slowly drain the crow.
A kick to her hip and another to her shoulder, and each time the crow touched her Madison chugged more of her power. Another blow to her jaw…Madison tasted blood on her tongue and groaned at the pain that burst through her skull.
Before she could evade more of the violence, the woman was on her, wrenching Madison up on her knees by the hair. The feathered woman tugged her head back until their gazes connected.
Black hair hung around Crow’s face. Her eyes were so black there was no visible beginning and end to her pupils.
“I gave you a prophecy so you would defeat the Kings by killing them.” Hatred curled Crow’s upper lip. “Instead you became the fucking Queen of Hell.”
Madison reached back and touched the hand snarled in the strands of her hair. She swigged the bitch’s power faster than a frat boy funneling beer. Crow’s terror-laced scream caused Madison to wince, and her ears to ring. Crow reacted quicker than she preferred and shoved Madison away.
Madison rose to her feet, hopefully sending the message to her nemesis that she felt not an ounce of fear.
Crow tossed her hair over her shoulder and wobbled, a little unsteady on her feet with her magic depleted. “You’re stronger than the last time we met.”
“I’m the Queen of Hell. What’d you expect? Cinderella?”
